Mid-level Product Designer

About the role

We are seeking a mid-level Product Designer to shape the next stage of Isla's product experience. This hands‑on individual contributor role works closely with product, engineering and clinical safety teams to improve UX and UI across a regulated platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end clinical and patient‑facing experiences, from flows and wireframes to polished, implementation‑ready UI.
• Act as the voice of the user throughout discovery, problem definition, delivery and iteration.
• Identify friction, inconsistencies and opportunities to simplify workflows and raise overall UX quality.
• Structure and scale research practice, ensuring insights are visible, accessible and shape product decisions, including usability testing for medical device compliance.
• Champion data‑driven design by combining quantitative and qualitative evidence.
• Deliver accessible and inclusive experiences, applying WCAG principles and inclusive patterns.
• Contribute to the evolution of the design system, keeping it consistent, AI‑ready and scalable.
• Explore AI tools in the design workflow to improve speed, quality and collaboration.

Required profile

• Strong end‑to‑end product design skills, from discovery to polished UI.
• Systems thinking and ability to consider ecosystem impacts.
• Excellent product and UX instincts for simplifying complex workflows.
• Highly collaborative, comfortable partnering with product and engineering.
• Experience contributing to design systems and working with engineering.
• Confidence using qualitative and quantitative data to inform decisions.
• Curiosity about AI and emerging design tooling.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and proactively improving UX quality.
