About the role
We are looking for a Mid/Senior Backend Engineer to join a fast‑growing fintech building modern banking infrastructure for international businesses. The role focuses on developing critical backend services for corporate card issuance, payments orchestration and global banking integration. You will work in a senior, collaborative, product‑driven environment with high autonomy.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build backend services for corporate card issuance, roles, permissions and access control.
- Integrate with banking providers, AML systems and payment networks (SEPA, SWIFT, card systems) to ensure compliant financial flows.
- Translate third‑party API documentation into technical architecture and implementation plans.
- Participate in product and engineering decisions across the full lifecycle (RFC, PRD, development, production).
- Improve system performance, scalability and observability using Kafka, RPC frameworks, logging and monitoring.
- Ensure high engineering quality through unit/functional testing, secure coding practices and CI/CD automation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (product, design, platform) to deliver end‑to‑end user experiences.
Required profile
- 2+ years of backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Experience writing unit and functional tests (Jest, Vitest, Cypress or similar).
- Proven ability to build or integrate complex distributed systems.
- Ownership mindset with the ability to drive features from design to production.
- Clear communication skills and business‑oriented mindset.
