Minibus Driver – Patient Transport

About the role

The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking a dedicated Minibus Driver to provide patient transport services for St Luke's Radiation Oncology Network. This full‑time permanent role is based in Dublin South and serves the HSE Dublin and Midlands health region.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a minibus safely on public roads to transport patients and clients to and from medical appointments.
• Follow scheduled routes and timetables, ensuring punctuality and reliability.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, conduct routine safety checks, and report any issues promptly.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and infection‑control protocols while assisting passengers.
• Coordinate with the Patient Transport Coordinator to manage bookings and special transport needs.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence appropriate for minibus operation (Category D or equivalent).
• Proven experience driving a minibus or similar vehicle on public roads.
• Good knowledge of the Dublin area and ability to navigate efficiently.
• Professional attitude with the ability to interact respectfully with patients and healthcare staff.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings or evenings as required.
