Minor Injuries Doctor – Out-of-Hospital Clinic

About the role

Affidea Group is seeking a qualified Minor Injuries Doctor to join its out‑of‑hospital clinic in Naas. You will work within a busy centre providing rapid assessment and treatment for patients with minor trauma and related conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with minor injuries and illnesses.
• Perform minor surgical procedures, including suturing and wound care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X‑rays and MRI scans.
• Communicate test results and management plans clearly to patients.
• Provide patient education on injury prevention and self‑care.
• Participate in weekly clinical supervision and case discussions.
• Collaborate with nurses, radiologists, and orthopaedic consultants during fracture clinics.
• Report adverse events and contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Active registration with the Irish Medical Council.
• Special interest and experience in Emergency Medicine.
• Strong working knowledge of orthopaedics, plastics, paediatrics, and general medicine.
• Previous experience in the Irish or UK healthcare system is advantageous.
