About the role
Kilkenny and Carlow ETB is seeking a qualified Music Teacher to join Scoil Aireagail on a part‑time basis (11 hours per week). The role involves delivering the music curriculum, supporting cross‑curricular initiatives and contributing to the school community.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging music lessons aligned with the national syllabus.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in departmental planning, whole‑school educational development and extra‑curricular music activities.
- Uphold school policies on behaviour, child protection and health & safety.
Required profile
- Current registration with the Teaching Council of Ireland and a recognised teaching qualification.
- Demonstrated professional knowledge of music pedagogy and ability to integrate literacy, numeracy and critical thinking.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with students, parents, colleagues and the wider community.
