Night Porter – Pre-Opening Hotel

About the role

The Night Porter will support the overnight operation of The Grace Westport Estate as it prepares to open in Spring 2026. Working the night shift, you will ensure the property remains secure, clean, and ready for guests while providing attentive service throughout the hours.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and break down conference rooms, private dining spaces, weddings and meeting areas according to layout plans.
• Provide overnight room service, respond to late‑night guest requests and handle luggage for arrivals and departures.
• Promote estate facilities and services during guest interactions.
• Answer telephone calls and guest queries in the Night Manager’s absence.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of all public areas for the next day’s operation.
• Report maintenance, safety or operational issues directly to the Night Manager.
• Conduct scheduled security inspections, fire walks and ensure all external access points are secured overnight.
• Collaborate with Night Management and other departments to keep operational flow smooth.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in a hospitality role, preferably as a porter or in accommodations.
• Strong organisational abilities to manage varied overnight responsibilities.
• Calm, guest‑focused communication style.
• Commitment to safety protocols, operational standards and continuous improvement.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
