O&M Technician – Solar Power Plant

About the role

Renvolt is expanding its Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team in Ireland to support the long‑term performance of the 139 MW Ballymoneen Solar Power Plant. The O&M Technician will be based near Galway and will provide rapid on‑site and remote support to keep the plant operating at peak efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Perform fast on‑site and remote troubleshooting and implement fault‑recovery solutions to restore production.
• Carry out specialized technical maintenance activities on photovoltaic equipment.
• Participate in integrated commissioning and start‑up activities.
• Conduct on‑site technical assessments and produce detailed reports for claim processes.
• Deliver training sessions and technical workshops to build maintenance competence.
• Develop and improve maintenance management processes, documentation, and best‑practice tools.
• Contribute to reliability studies, failure analysis, and audit of implemented procedures.

Required profile

• Electrical qualification (e.g., electrician, electrical engineer).
• Experience in commissioning and maintenance of photovoltaic power plants (preferred).
• Knowledge of electronics and automation fault detection techniques.
• Ability to work on‑site near Galway and respond quickly to issues.
