Operator Trainer

About the role

Ponsse is seeking an Operator Trainer to promote its forestry machinery and deliver hands‑on training to machine operators across Ireland. The role combines field work, classroom instruction and support for the sales team, ensuring customers are confident and safe when using Ponsse equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver face‑to‑face training sessions for operators on new, used and demo machines.
• Adjust machine settings to meet local working requirements.
• Coordinate delivery, set‑up and demonstration of machines at customer sites and trade events.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks and follow‑up visits to up‑skill operators.
• Support the sales team with product knowledge, enquiries and trade‑in assessments.
• Prepare used machines for resale and assist with parts enquiries.
• Maintain accurate risk assessments, timesheets, job cards and vehicle logs.
• Adhere to safety procedures, wear appropriate PPE and ensure a tidy workplace.

Required profile

• Willingness to travel nationwide and stay overnight when required.
• Flexibility to work beyond standard office hours.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to follow company policies, safety rules and complete documentation daily.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
