Packaging Operative – Food Production

About the role

Join Avova Central Bakery & Kitchen in Bray as a Packaging Operative, responsible for the day‑to‑day food packaging activity in a fast‑paced bakery environment. You will ensure that all products are packed, sealed and labelled to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Efficiently pack, seal and label food products, often at high speed.
• Inspect items for defects, damage or contamination before packaging.
• Set up, operate and make minor adjustments to packaging machinery.
• Maintain strict health, safety and hygiene standards, wearing required PPE.
• Keep work areas and machinery clean and sanitized.
• Complete daily paperwork, including packaging and labelling records.
• Move packed goods to racks, dispatch crates or storage areas.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot quality issues.
• Capability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive manual tasks.
• Team‑oriented attitude with reliable punctuality and attendance.
• Basic reading skills for instructions, labelling and quantity checks.
• Entry‑level candidates are welcome; on‑the‑job training will be provided.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, food or warehouse roles is advantageous.
