Part/Newly Qualified Accountant (Finance)

About the role

Monument Re Group is seeking a Part/Newly Qualified Accountant to join its Finance team in Dublin. Reporting to the Group Financial Control Manager, you will help prepare quarterly, annual and ad‑hoc financial reports for senior management, regulators and auditors while ensuring robust financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in producing accurate Group Management Accounts, Group MI, audited financial statements and regulatory returns.
• Support the preparation of debt certification and other statutory reporting.
• Identify and implement improvements in reporting processes, controls and system usage.
• Contribute to Group Finance projects and liaise with internal stakeholders.
• Maintain compliance with the Group’s control and risk frameworks.

Required profile

• ACC​A, CIMA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
• 2‑3 years of experience in an insurance or reinsurance finance function.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Knowledge of accounting fundamentals, consolidation and compliance.

Required skills

• Experience with financial reporting software such as Workiva.
• Familiarity with planning tools like Anaplan.
