Part‑Qualified Accountant – Cork

About the role

We are seeking a part‑qualified accountant to join a fast‑growing retail accountancy and consulting firm in the Cork region. The role will involve client liaison, managing a team of accountants and trainees, and delivering high‑quality financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and review of management accounts.
• Review and present weekly KPI reports to the Senior Account Manager.
• Identify and resolve financial control issues arising from KPI data.
• Evaluate and implement effective internal controls.
• Oversee the accounts payable function and manage working capital.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Provide full financial control services to clients.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified or part‑experienced accountant.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Experience supervising junior staff.
• Excellent organisational skills and initiative.
• Understanding of the retail sector is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounts preparation.
• Competent IT skills for financial software.
