Part‑Qualified Accountant

About the role

We are an established Chartered Accountancy Practice looking for a part‑qualified accountant to strengthen our team. The role is ideal for candidates with at least two years of practice experience who are eager to deliver high‑quality financial services to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end non‑audit company accounts and related working papers.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet items such as VAT, payroll, leases, hire purchases and fixed assets.
• Post journal entries using accounting software, ensuring adherence to core accounting principles.
• Assist in the preparation of periodic management accounts.
• Produce statutory financial statements in line with deadlines and established checklists.
• Support year‑end close‑out procedures and journal preparation.
• Help prepare Corporation Tax Returns.
• Liaise confidently with clients via phone and written correspondence.
• Assist managers on ad‑hoc, project‑based client assignments.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA).
• Minimum 2+ years of general accounting practice experience.
• Results‑oriented, organised and able to work independently.
• Strong written and spoken English with excellent client‑care skills.

Required skills

• Practice software: CCH Accounts Production (or equivalent).
• Cloud accounting platforms: Xero, Sage Line 50, Surf.
• Corporate tax preparation software.
• Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency.
