Pharmaceutical Key Account Manager

About the role

Biocon Biologics is seeking a Pharmaceutical Key Account Manager to lead sales and market access for its biosimilar portfolio across Ireland. The role focuses on strategic account management within hospitals, engaging clinicians, pharmacists, procurement and hospital leadership to drive adoption of biosimilar medicines.

Key responsibilities

• Own revenue, market share and margin targets for assigned biosimilar products in the Irish territory.
• Develop and execute account‑specific plans for priority hospitals and treatment centres.
• Promote biosimilar adoption, switching and retention through value‑based stakeholder engagement.
• Serve as the primary commercial contact for key accounts, building long‑term, trust‑based relationships.
• Support hospital‑level and national tender processes in collaboration with Market Access, Pricing and Commercial teams.
• Coordinate regional scientific and educational events aligned with brand strategy.
• Provide structured feedback on customer insights, competitor activity and unmet needs.
• Deliver regular performance reporting against sales KPIs, coverage and account objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in pharmaceutical or biosimilar sales, preferably within hospital or health‑system environments.
• Strong understanding of rheumatology, gastroenterology and oncology therapeutic areas.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex accounts and navigate tender processes.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with clinicians, pharmacists and procurement teams.
• Results‑driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
