About the role
AbbVie is seeking a Pharmaceutical Technician to join its manufacturing team on Manorhamilton Road, Sligo. This 12‑month fixed‑term position involves rotational shift work and focuses on producing drug product materials while adhering to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out pharmaceutical processing activities in the manufacturing building and support locations.
- Coordinate with team members to maximise effectiveness and ensure smooth operations.
- Document all activities in line with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) standards.
- Cross‑train and mentor new team members.
- Participate in continuous‑improvement programmes to enhance quality, safety, environmental and production systems.
- Execute commissioning and validation protocols on an ongoing basis.
- Maintain overall cGMP compliance in processing areas.
- Support and follow all Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) standards, procedures and policies.
Required profile
- 3rd‑level qualification in Engineering, Science or a related field, OR at least 2 years of experience in a GMP‑regulated environment.
- Experience operating in a highly automated manufacturing environment.
- Good IT proficiency.
