Pharmacist – OPD/IPD

About the role

The Pharmacist will dispense medications accurately for both out‑patient (OPD) and in‑patient (IPD) services, ensure safe storage and handling of drugs, and support clinical teams in a hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescribed medicines to OPD and IPD patients, verifying dosage, interactions and appropriateness.
• Counsel patients on proper medication use, side‑effects and adherence.
• Maintain dispensing records, narcotics logs and stock movement documentation in line with hospital policy.
• Monitor inventory levels, report shortages or expiries, and assist with stock audits and temperature‑controlled storage.
• Ensure all pharmacy activities comply with NABH, JCI and local regulatory standards.
• Provide drug information to clinicians, resolve medication‑related queries and participate in clinical meetings.
• Report medication errors, adverse reactions and support continuous quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (mandatory); M.Pharm in Pharmacy Practice or Clinical Pharmacy preferred.
• Valid pharmacy license/registration (e.g., PCI in India or equivalent).
• 3–5 years of experience in outpatient or hospital pharmacy settings.
• Familiarity with electronic prescription (eRx) and hospital information systems (HIS).
