Pharmacy Technician

About the role

This on‑site Pharmacy Technician position is based in Portlaoise, supporting the daily operations of an independent community pharmacy. You will work closely with the pharmacist to ensure patients receive accurate prescriptions and high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions.
• Maintain accurate inventory control and stock management.
• Provide excellent customer service and patient care.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy standards and regulations.
• Support the pharmacist in daily tasks and keep the workspace well‑organized.

Required profile

• Knowledge and experience with prescription handling and pharmacy operations.
• Understanding of inventory control processes and stock management.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy‑related fields are advantageous.
• Previous experience in a community pharmacy setting is a plus.
