Plant Manager

About the role

ProAmpac Donegal is looking for an experienced Plant Manager to take full ownership of site performance in a fast‑paced, international manufacturing environment. You will lead the Gweedore site, overseeing both Flex and Fiber operations, and be responsible for safety, quality, production, and financial outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall site operations including Safety, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Logistics and Financial performance.
• Deliver strong KPI performance across safety, quality, service, cost and people.
• Manage budgets, control costs and ensure achievement of financial targets.
• Drive a Lean manufacturing culture, champion continuous improvement and waste reduction.
• Align S&OP processes covering demand planning, capacity planning, inventory optimisation and new product introduction.
• Implement process improvements to boost efficiency, ROI and overall plant performance.
• Build and lead a high‑performance, engaged team focused on accountability and collaboration.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with HR, Sales, Product Development and other sites.
• Act as key contact for internal and external stakeholders to align operational priorities.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Plant Manager or senior manufacturing leader in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Strong track record in delivering operational performance, cost control and continuous improvement.
• Experience leading S&OP processes and driving cross‑functional alignment.
• Demonstrated ability to build and develop high‑performing teams.
• Solid financial acumen with budget management experience.
• Understanding of plant safety standards and manufacturing best practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Degree in Business, Engineering or Operations Management (MBA desirable).
