PMO Manager – Project Management Office Lead

About the role

Join AbbVie’s North Dublin Oral Solid Dose manufacturing site as the PMO Manager. You will lead the Project Management Office, ensuring robust governance, portfolio oversight, and successful delivery of strategic initiatives across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the site’s PMO function, coordinating project managers and resources to achieve site‑wide project success.
• Direct a broad portfolio of initiatives, including strategic projects, new product introductions (NPI) and capital expenditures (CAPEX).
• Develop, implement and continuously improve project management standards, processes and methodologies.
• Oversee the full project lifecycle: intake, prioritisation, resource allocation, monitoring and reporting.
• Communicate project status, risks and milestones to senior plant leadership and stakeholders.
• Ensure structured risk management, issue tracking and change control across all active projects.
• Drive standardisation of documentation to support quality, regulatory and audit readiness.
• Act as escalation point for project‑related issues and foster collaboration across matrixed functions (Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Regulatory).
• Deliver projects on time, within scope and budget while supporting continuous improvement through data‑driven performance analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Business or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of project management experience in pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturing or a similarly regulated industry.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams or a project office in a manufacturing environment.
• Deep understanding of regulated industry requirements and project governance.
