Power BI Delivery Consultant (Contract, Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a Power BI Delivery Consultant on a contract basis to support a fast‑moving data transformation programme for a leading organisation in Dublin. The role bridges business stakeholders and an external data delivery partner, ensuring that Power BI solutions are accurate, trusted and ready for go‑live.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business reporting requirements into clear Power BI specifications and build dashboards that reflect agreed metric definitions.
• Review dataset design, data models and DAX logic, maintaining high performance, usability and scalability.
• Define and lead User Acceptance Testing, validate outputs against legacy reports and manage issue triage to resolution.
• Collaborate with the data engineering partner (Azure/Databricks) and provide oversight on technical design decisions.
• Provide regular, jargon‑free progress updates to stakeholders and validate go‑live readiness, supporting post‑release hyper‑care.

Required profile

• Proven end‑to‑end delivery experience with Power BI, including data modelling (star schema, semantic layers) and performance optimisation.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and experience leading UAT programmes.
• Ability to discuss both business needs and technical details comfortably.
