Process Operations Superintendent

About the role

The Process Operations Superintendent will lead the processing function at Simberi’s open‑cut gold mine, ensuring safe, efficient operations that maximise gold recovery from ore delivered to the ROM.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety of all personnel within the Processing Department.
• Maintain fit‑for‑purpose systems and deliver production, recovery and cost targets.
• Maximise gold recovery and meet environmental and community obligations.
• Provide training, accurate performance reporting and contribute to the Processing Leadership Team.
• Develop effective operational plans aligned with mine‑wide objectives and coordinate mill relines with maintenance shutdowns.
• Build, develop and manage a high‑performing processing team, including recruitment, performance evaluation and discipline.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years experience in mining processing, including 5 years in a supervisory/superintendent role.
• Degree in Metallurgy, Chemistry or Engineering preferred but not essential.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to work on a 21/14 roster.

Required skills

• Knowledge of gold processing and recovery techniques.
• Understanding of health, safety, environmental and community compliance.
