Process Technician – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term (Shift)

About the role

The Process Technician will support the production of Class III medical devices at Sanmina’s FDA‑registered facility in Fermoy, Ireland. Working on a 12‑hour rotating shift pattern, you will ensure the automated line runs efficiently, meeting output and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor fully automated production equipment to achieve planned output.
• Maintain machine uptime through routine adjustments, set‑up and quick troubleshooting of equipment faults.
• Identify and resolve product defects and process issues, escalating critical problems to senior engineering when required.
• Assist engineering teams with commissioning, validation and continuous‑improvement projects aimed at cycle‑time reduction and yield enhancement.
• Ensure compliance with health‑and‑safety legislation, quality standards and medical‑device regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum Level 6 qualification in an electrical, mechanical or fitter trade.
• At least 12 months experience in automation control, tool‑making, maintenance or a related electrical/mechanical role.
• Hands‑on problem‑solver with the ability to work independently on shift.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
