Process Technician – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term (Shift)

About the role

This is a shift‑based, 12‑month fixed‑term position supporting the fully automated production of Class III medical devices at Sanmina’s FDA‑registered facility in Fermoy, Ireland. You will work 12‑hour day and night shifts, including weekends, ensuring high‑quality output and machine uptime.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise the performance of automated production equipment.
• Troubleshoot product defects, process issues and equipment faults.
• Adjust, set up and validate machinery to meet production targets.
• Support engineering during commissioning and validation of new high‑volume lines.
• Contribute to safety, quality, compliance and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum Level 6 qualification in electrical, mechanical or fitter trade.
• At least 12 months experience in automation control, tool‑making, maintenance, electrical or mechanical roles.
• Hands‑on problem‑solver with ability to identify and escalate critical errors.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour rotating shifts.
