Procurement and Stock Control Assistant

About the role

The Procurement and Stock Control Assistant will work closely with the Procurement & Stock Manager to support purchasing, supplier coordination, and inventory management across NUA Manufacturing’s facilities. This fast‑paced, hands‑on position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in both procurement and warehouse environments.

Key responsibilities

• Raise purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders in line with company procedures.
• Follow up with suppliers on confirmations, pricing, and delivery dates.
• Maintain accurate supplier records, pricing agreements, and lead‑time data.
• Assist with stock monitoring, regular counts, variance investigations and goods receipt processing in Business Central.
• Support barcode generation (CODE128) and labelling of materials.
• Generate reports on stock levels, purchasing activity and supplier performance.
• Work with warehouse staff to ensure smooth inbound processes and resolve delivery discrepancies.
• Help identify slow‑moving or obsolete inventory and suggest improvements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar procurement or inventory role.
• Highly organised, process‑driven and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Proactive, solution‑focused with a strong work ethic.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (4PS) for procurement and stock data entry.
• Barcode generation and labelling using CODE128 format.
