Procurement Specialist – Hybrid (Dublin 2)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to support compliant procurement processes within a reputable government body in Dublin 2. The role is hybrid, combining three days onsite with two days remote, and runs on a 24‑month fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Support managers throughout the end‑to‑end procurement cycle, from specification development to contract award.
• Manage the eTenders.gov.ie platform, creating, publishing and administering tenders and notices.
• Provide guidance on procurement routes, including use of OGP frameworks and best‑practice strategies.
• Advise on procurement documentation such as templates, evaluation criteria and timelines.
• Oversee tender evaluation processes, collate scoring and prepare standstill and notification letters.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, including contract registers and tender files.
• Review and update procurement templates and guidance materials.
• Deliver procurement advice and support to staff across the organisation.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience in public sector procurement.
• Strong knowledge of public procurement regulations and guidelines.
• Current enrolment in or completion of a Professional Diploma in Public Procurement (IPA) or equivalent.
• Third‑level qualification (Level 8 or equivalent).
• Excellent organisational abilities with capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the eTenders.gov.ie platform.
