Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Global Procurement Specialist supports Circle K’s procurement function by analysing vendor performance, reviewing purchasing data and managing supplier relationships. The role ensures sourcing activities are cost‑effective, high‑quality and aligned with the business’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify trends and analyse internal metrics such as purchase movement, pricing, funding impact and supplier KPIs.
• Create bid summaries, highlight opportunities and provide recommendations for cost savings.
• Build structured Excel models for negotiations, scenario planning and savings validation.
• Develop scalable data transformations and structured data sets to support commercial and operational decisions.
• Analyse category productivity using BI systems and external data sources (e.g., AC Nielsen) to produce regular and ad‑hoc reports.
• Maintain electronic files for supplier agreements, ensure correct contract handling and synergy reporting.
• Coordinate with business units and the procurement network to assure data accuracy and support internal reviews.
• Drive change by challenging the status quo, conducting root‑cause analyses and implementing process improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain or procurement analytics.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to break down pricing into real cost drivers such as freight structures, rebate mechanics and total cost of ownership.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Power BI.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including model building.
• Experience with Azure cloud services.
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools and data transformation techniques.
