Procurement & Supply Chain Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement & Supply Chain Manager to lead the procurement function for a leading Cork‑based electrical contractor. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for securing materials, plant and subcontract services across multiple projects while driving cost efficiency and supplier performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage procurement activities across all business units and projects.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing structures and framework contracts with suppliers.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and improve supply‑chain efficiency.
• Oversee supplier selection, onboarding and performance evaluation.
• Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations and supply‑chain risks.
• Collaborate with project managers, commercial teams and site management to meet project procurement requirements.
• Ensure timely delivery of electrical materials, equipment and plant.
• Produce procurement reports, spend analysis and supplier performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with policies and best practice.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior procurement, purchasing or supply‑chain role.
• Experience in electrical contracting, M&E contracting, construction or engineering is highly desirable.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate framework agreements.
• Excellent understanding of procurement processes, contract management and supply‑chain operations.
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
