Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist

About the role

Our client in Bray, Co. Wicklow is looking for an organised and proactive Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist. You will be responsible for ensuring that materials and products are delivered on time, at the best possible value, and that the supply chain runs smoothly across both warehouse and production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Create, review and manage purchase orders, confirming quantities, pricing and delivery dates.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, monitoring lead times and resolving delivery issues.
• Monitor inventory levels and proactively replenish stock to avoid shortages.
• Investigate and resolve dispatch problems such as missing or delayed items.
• Track supplier deliveries, follow up on overdue orders and provide accurate updates.
• Negotiate competitive pricing, favourable commercial terms and volume discounts.
• Collaborate with production, warehouse and finance teams to ensure an efficient supply chain and accurate stock records.
• Identify and implement improvements to purchasing processes and supplier performance.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of procurement or purchasing experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing, distribution, engineering or technical environment within an Irish company.
• Solid understanding of supply chain processes and inventory management.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP or purchasing systems (e.g., Sage).
