Product Certification Auditor

About the role

BSI is seeking a Product Certification Auditor to conduct product certification assessments across Ireland and Northern Ireland. The role involves evaluating products against BSI’s certification schemes and Kitemark standards, supporting manufacturers in achieving compliance and market confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and carry out field audits for structural steel (EN 1090), concrete, aggregates and other construction products.
• Prepare detailed assessment reports and communicate findings and corrective actions to clients.
• Recommend issuance, re‑issuance or withdrawal of certificates in line with BSI policies.
• Maintain account responsibility, ensuring strong client relationships and service delivery.
• Lead audit teams, brief members and coach less‑experienced assessors.
• Collaborate with internal support services to keep client records accurate and up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Experience in product auditing, standards compliance or related manufacturing sectors.
• Familiarity with construction product standards such as EN 1090 and CPR.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of BSI certification schemes and Kitemark standards.
• Understanding of EN 1090, CPR and related product standards.
