Production Manager

About the role

The Production Manager reports to the Head of Operations and is a key member of the Vantive Castlebar Management Team. Responsible for leading multiple manufacturing teams to meet production schedules, quality standards and customer commitments while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage department supervisors and staff to achieve safety, quality and production targets.
• Lead operational performance, ensuring on‑time delivery, product quality, yield and cost efficiency.
• Approve production instructions and verify records before release to Quality Assurance.
• Drive OPEX initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma and problem‑solving methods to improve throughput and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with maintenance to address issues, perform validations and maintain GMP/GDP compliance.
• Oversee environmental, health and safety procedures and promote risk‑reduction activities.
• Manage inter‑departmental resources, develop and control the manufacturing budget, and implement cost‑reduction programmes.
• Lead training, development and knowledge‑sharing across the team.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading manufacturing teams and supervisors.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and regulatory compliance (GMP, GDP).
• Ability to embed a culture of continuous learning and OPEX behaviours.
• Excellent collaboration with cross‑functional teams and customers.
• Track record of managing budgets and delivering cost‑improvement projects.
