Production Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Production Manager to join the leadership team of a leading medical device manufacturer in Castlebar. You will oversee multiple manufacturing teams, drive operational excellence, and ensure strict GMP compliance across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop manufacturing supervisors and staff to achieve safety, quality, and output targets.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and OPEX methodologies.
• Own departmental budgets and implement cost‑reduction projects.
• Maintain GMP/GDP compliance and support validation activities.
• Build team capability through coaching, structured problem‑solving, and skill development.

Required profile

• 3rd‑level qualification (e.g., Bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
• Proven leadership experience in a GMP‑regulated manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated success in leading Lean/OPEX/continuous improvement programmes.
• Budget management experience.
• Strong communication and decision‑making abilities.
