Production Operator

About the role

As a Production Operator within the Integrated Production Team (IPT), you will work on a 24/7 shift to support the manufacture and reliable supply of biotech products. The role is onsite and offers exposure to top pharmaceutical client sites in a diverse, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment using MES, DCS and PLC systems to achieve target outputs and maximise uptime.
• Handle a range of equipment including parts washers, autoclaves, CIP/SIP tanks, vial washers, Depyro tunnels, debaggers and filling machines.
• Perform clean‑room cleaning, housekeeping and materials management while applying Lean principles for continuous improvement.
• Manage equipment flow, track hold times, label and maintain inventory of clean and sterile tools using Kanban boards and automated MES status updates.
• Carry out preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair process equipment where qualified.
• Contribute to the creation and revision of operational procedures, training materials and change‑control documentation.
• Participate in investigations, Kaizen events and other continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Experience operating production or manufacturing equipment in a regulated environment.
• Familiarity with MES/DCS/PLC interfaces and clean‑room protocols.
• Understanding of Lean manufacturing and Kanban inventory methods.
• Ability to follow detailed SOPs, maintain documentation and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.
