Production Shift Supervisor

About the role

The client is a globally recognised leader in chemical manufacturing seeking an experienced Production Shift Supervisor for its high‑volume plant in Ballyfermot, Dublin 12. Reporting to the Plant Operations Manager, you will lead shift‑based production teams, ensuring safety, quality and performance targets are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and coordinate all production activities during assigned shifts.
• Achieve production schedules and manufacturing targets safely and efficiently.
• Drive throughput, reduce downtime, minimise waste and improve change‑over times.
• Maintain full compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality and operational procedures.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Develop and motivate production teams to maximise engagement and performance.

Required profile

• 3rd‑level qualification in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Process Engineering or a related chemistry discipline.
• Proven experience in a regulated, high‑volume chemical or process manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead shift teams and manage operational KPIs.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance.
