Production Supervisor

About the role

Ohshima Ireland is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead a fast‑paced manufacturing team at its Shannon facility. The role is central to meeting customer demand, maintaining quality standards and driving continuous improvement in a precision metal components environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with area supervisors and team leads to prioritize staffing and meet production schedules.
• Ensure a steady flow of components to the line by coordinating with stores.
• Monitor and achieve production targets using KPIs and daily target boards.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting quality, performance, equipment, materials and labour.
• Lead and develop a multifunctional team, conducting regular meetings to align on goals and address line issues.
• Serve as the primary contact for equipment and hardware problem‑solving.
• Communicate quality requirements, ensure compliance with documented policies and complete regulatory documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, maintain a clean, FOD‑free work area and update production metrics.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality control and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to motivate and develop a team.
• Effective problem‑solving abilities and proactive issue resolution.
• Ability to follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures.
• Knowledge of regulatory and documentation standards in manufacturing.
