Production Team Leader

About the role

Takeda is seeking an Operations Team Leader to oversee a team of Production Technologists responsible for manufacturing and packaging solid oral dosage products. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will drive safety, quality, and efficiency while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Production Technologists, promoting accountability, engagement, and learning.
• Ensure the weekly production schedule is executed safely, on time, and to quality standards.
• Monitor performance through KPIs, identify improvement opportunities, and implement solutions.
• Maintain strict compliance with cGMP, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Champion a proactive safety culture and manage incident reporting and investigations.
• Support audit readiness and sustain inspection‑ready operations.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to reduce waste and enhance operational effectiveness.
• Participate in projects introducing new products, technologies, equipment, and processes.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and people development.
• Ability to analyze data, manage KPIs, and lead improvement projects.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Experience with KPI monitoring and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with audit processes and regulatory compliance.
