Productivity Buyer

About the role

The Productivity Buyer will support Valeo's site purchasing function by driving material productivity initiatives, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring alignment with budget and logistics requirements. This role works closely with segment leaders and the commodity organization to achieve negotiation targets and implement global material standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement technical, re‑sourcing, logistics and VPS material productivity plans in line with budget goals.
• Support segment leaders to meet site negotiation objectives.
• Lead MSC material productivity actions, coordinating supplier involvement according to schedule.
• Monitor supplier relationships and act as Key Account Purchasing (KAP) where required.
• Apply worldwide product group and product line material standards at the site.
• Collaborate with the site Purchasing Manager to build the site budget.
• Execute mitigation action plans at the site level.
• Ensure logistics protocols are covered for all purchased parts.
• Strictly follow V5000 Supplier Integration standards, including certifications, procedures, tools and information systems.

Required profile

• Diploma in Purchasing, Economics, Business, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience.
• Fluent in English.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiation and commercial awareness.
• Proactive, initiative‑taking attitude.
• Ability to organise and multitask effectively.
• Logical thinking and an international mindset.
• Comfortable working under tight deadlines and as a team player.
