About the role
AtkinsRealis is seeking a Project Communications Officer to join its Stakeholder Engagement Team. You will act as the primary liaison between the project team and the communities affected by large‑scale infrastructure developments, ensuring transparent and inclusive communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement project communication plans that raise awareness and encourage proactive stakeholder engagement.
- Engage with landowners, community groups, businesses, elected representatives and the general public to provide updates and address queries.
- Respond to media enquiries and coordinate public information events.
- Maintain accurate records of engagement activities, feedback and issues raised.
- Support conflict resolution and promote constructive dialogue among stakeholders.
- Produce communication materials such as letters, brochures, leaflets, web content, newsletters and press releases.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure stakeholder needs are reflected in project documentation.
Required profile
- Degree in Geography, Planning, Estate/Property Management or a related discipline.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in face‑to‑face meetings.
- Experience working on infrastructure projects is advantageous.
- Flexibility in workload management and ability to adapt to changing project demands.
