Project Director – Pharmaceutical Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking a senior Project Director to lead a flagship pharmaceutical infrastructure programme for a leading Irish engineering and infrastructure contractor. The role carries full executive responsibility for delivery performance, client satisfaction, commercial outcomes and team leadership across a multidisciplinary project organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of a large‑scale pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory standards.
• Manage complex utilities, high‑spec mechanical and electrical installations, process pipework, fluid management and cleanroom construction.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, commercial specialists and site managers, providing strategic direction and escalation support.
• Drive commercial performance, budgeting, scheduling and risk management to meet client expectations.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high levels of quality, safety and client satisfaction.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in delivering large, technically complex infrastructure projects, preferably in the pharmaceutical or life‑sciences sector.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and navigate commercial pressures.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and GMP requirements for pharmaceutical facilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
