Project Engineer – New Headquarters Development (9-12 month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a solutions‑focused Project Engineer to coordinate the delivery of our new headquarters in Mallow. This fully onsite, 9‑12 month contract role blends engineering design with hands‑on project implementation, ensuring the build is safe, on schedule and of high quality.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager from concept through to installation, commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors and suppliers, on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Develop, maintain and monitor the project programme, identifying risks and mitigation plans.
• Obtain quotations, procure materials and manage subcontractor schedules.
• Oversee mechanical and electrical installations, ensuring compliance with construction drawings and quality standards.
• Produce and update CAD drawings and construction details.
• Attend site meetings, record actions and report progress to senior management.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil, Mechanical, Building Services or Construction Engineering.
• Proven experience in construction project delivery and programme coordination.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical installation processes.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Full driving licence and fluent English (verbal and written).
