Project Manager – Construction (Cork)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a leading construction main contractor in Cork. You will own projects from early design stages through to handover, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain project programmes and collaborate with the Contracts Manager on timelines.
• Lead and mentor the site team, ensuring the right people and resources are available.
• Promote a strong health & safety culture across the project.
• Monitor quality to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Manage costs and work with the commercial team to stay on budget.
• Build and maintain solid client relationships, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and delays.

Required profile

• A degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Approximately 5+ years of experience managing construction projects, including new builds and fit‑outs.
• Experience with Design & Build projects is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to make cost‑effective decisions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using MS Project or similar project planning tools.
