Project Manager – Construction

About the role

Our client, a well‑established Irish main contractor, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Cork‑based team. You will own projects from early design through to handover, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain project programmes and collaborate with the Contracts Manager on timelines.
• Lead and mentor the site team, ensuring the right resources are deployed at the right time.
• Promote a strong health & safety culture across the site.
• Monitor quality to guarantee compliance with specifications.
• Control costs and work with the commercial team to stay within budget.
• Build and maintain client relationships, providing regular updates on progress, risks and delays.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience managing new‑build or fit‑out construction projects.
• Experience with design‑and‑build contracts is a strong advantage.
• Proven ability to plan and deliver complex jobs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercially aware with a focus on cost‑effective decision making.
