Project Manager – Large‑Scale Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of large‑scale construction projects across Cork and the surrounding region. The role involves full responsibility from pre‑construction planning through to handover, ensuring safety, schedule, budget and quality targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of construction projects from inception to handover.
• Develop and manage project programmes, sequencing strategies and site logistics.
• Coordinate with design consultants, subcontractors and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
• Chair project coordination and progress meetings with stakeholders.
• Monitor performance through reporting, risk management and programme tracking.
• Oversee day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations.
• Work with commercial teams on budgeting, forecasting, procurement and cost control.
• Support subcontractor procurement, package negotiation and tender evaluations.
• Maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety and act as main contact for clients and regulators.
• Lead and mentor site teams, engineers and project staff.

Required profile

• 5+ years’ experience as a Project Manager with a main contractor.
• Degree qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven track record delivering medium to large‑scale construction projects.
• Strong commercial awareness and experience managing budgets and contracts.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

• Health & Safety legislation compliance.
