Project Manager – Pharmaceutical Equipment & Process Development

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the introduction of new equipment and processes within a highly regulated cGMP pharmaceutical environment. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the role covers project planning, troubleshooting, equipment upgrades, procurement, and validation activities across manufacturing and packaging.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate projects, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
• Lead cross‑functional teams including Production, Quality, Safety, Regulatory Affairs, Facilities, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance.
• Manage equipment specification, design, procurement, installation, and validation (FAT, IQOQ).
• Conduct process and equipment trials, support validation documentation, and oversee change control in a cGMP setting.
• Ensure HSE considerations throughout design, construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Generate and approve project documentation such as scopes, user requirement specifications, trial reports, and SOPs.

Required profile

• B.Eng or equivalent degree in Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 5 years recent experience in project management within Pharma, Biotech, or Chemical industries.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes (dry blending, compression, coating, granulation, containment, material handling).
• Proven track record of delivering projects that meet safety, quality, regulatory, and operational requirements.
