Projects Delivery Engineer – Water & Wastewater

About the role

The Projects Delivery Engineer will support and manage a diverse portfolio of water and wastewater treatment design projects, ranging from greenfield to brownfield, and will contribute to pre‑construction and proposal activities. Reporting to senior project managers, the role involves delivering critical projects valued up to €40 million for Ireland's largest WWTP facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Produce documentation such as reports, drawings, calculations, specifications, tender packages and RAMS.
• Develop project budgets and detailed, resource‑loaded work programmes.
• Coordinate with PSCS, PSDP, clients, operations and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical advice, support bid preparation and manage selected projects.
• Supervise and manage contractors, respond to client RFIs, and oversee maintenance SLAs.
• Identify operational interfaces, assess impacts, and plan execution windows.
• Prioritise capital maintenance projects based on equipment condition and criticality.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of project planning, monitoring and control techniques.
• Ability to risk‑assess equipment and criticality.
• Experience in design from feasibility through to “for construction” stage.
• Broad technical understanding of design implications on budget and programme.
• PRINCE2 or PMP qualification or demonstrable experience in a structured project environment.
