Purchasing Manager – Luxury Hotel

About the role

The Purchasing Manager will lead the procurement function for Anantara the Marker Dublin Hotel, ensuring all departments receive the goods and services they need to operate smoothly. This role combines strategic sourcing, inventory control, and close collaboration with hotel operations to support both guest experience and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accruals register for period‑end in the SAP system.
• Guarantee supply continuity for all hotel departments and manage material and supplier registrations.
• Distribute and clarify purchasing communications to the team on a daily basis.
• Serve as the benchmark for all purchasing processes, handling queries and system errors.
• Coordinate with storekeeper and operational managers to optimise stock levels and avoid over‑stocking.
• Communicate regularly with departments regarding deliveries and outstanding orders.
• Collect and consolidate stock reports for Food, Beverage and General store items.
• Prepare documentation required for monthly closing and review inventory par levels.
• Manage internal orders, warehouse movements, and record losses or expirations in SAP.
• Place orders with regular and incidental suppliers, verify receipts and invoices, and resolve delivery issues.
• Maintain up‑to‑date files on articles and suppliers, create periodic purchase overviews, and archive purchasing documents.

Required profile

• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and stock control principles.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail for accurate record‑keeping.
• Capability to handle monthly financial closing tasks and reporting.
