QA Specialist - Supplier Quality Management

About the role

We are seeking a QA Specialist focused on Supplier Quality Management to join our dynamic Quality Assurance team at Chanelle Pharma. Based onsite in Loughrea, you will help ensure our suppliers meet the highest standards for APIs, excipients and primary packaging components.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for supplier management activities and maintain Approved Supplier Lists (ASLs).
• Coordinate sample evaluation and collect compliance documentation such as GMP certificates, CEPs, TSE, GMO, allergens, elemental impurities and other regulatory records.
• Ensure supplied materials meet registered specifications and manage API Technical Agreements.
• Monitor vendor performance, generate management reports and maintain records of supplier performance.
• Conduct vendor evaluations for new suppliers, support final approval processes and liaise with cross‑functional teams.
• Assist in evaluating materials for R&D projects and clarify supply‑chain routes, including manufacturers, brokers and transport companies.
• Validate supply‑chain routes, storage and transport conditions, and perform supplier risk assessments.
• Develop, implement and enforce supplier‑related procedures and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify and implement improvements to the Quality Management System.
• Carry out any other duties assigned by the Head of Quality or QA Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a science‑related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a Quality Assurance role within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Good knowledge of EU pharmaceutical quality regulations.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and prioritisation abilities.
• Proactive, responsible and able to work effectively across teams.
