Quality Specialist – Automotive Sector (ISO 9001)

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional from a panel beating or body‑shop background to transition into a pivotal quality role. You will start with hands‑on quality control inspections of finished vehicles and progress to designing, implementing and auditing a Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct final vehicle inspections covering body repairs, pre‑delivery checks, valeting and accessory fitting.
• Identify, document and report visual, mechanical and functional defects using the company quality reporting system.
• Work with production teams to perform root‑cause analysis of recurring issues.
• Recommend and monitor corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) to eliminate defects.
• Assist in developing and maintaining the QMS in line with ISO 9001 requirements.
• Integrate quality principles into daily VPC processes, shifting focus from inspection to prevention.
• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled internal quality audits across operations.

Required profile

• QQI Level 6 qualification or equivalent.
• Proven experience in the motor industry, specifically in body repairs or panel beating.
• Strong understanding of automotive quality standards and processes.
