Quality Systems and Internal Audit Lead

About the role

The Quality Systems and Internal Audit Lead will own the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and internal audit programme. This role ensures compliance with BRCGS, ISO and other certifications while fostering a culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the QMS in line with ISO standards and industry requirements.
• Document, control and implement all quality policies, procedures and work instructions.
• Lead system updates, audits and certification processes, monitoring performance metrics and driving CAPA.
• Develop, implement and manage the internal audit programme across all departments.
• Conduct internal audits, identify non‑conformities, risks and improvement opportunities, and present findings to senior management.
• Act as primary contact for external audits from certification bodies and customers.
• Identify and manage quality‑related risks, support root‑cause analysis and risk mitigation initiatives.
• Champion continuous‑improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
• Provide training and guidance on quality systems, procedures and audit processes to employees.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing a Quality Management System and internal audit function.
• Strong knowledge of BRCGS, ISO standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams in a production environment.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to present audit findings to senior leadership.
