Receptionist – Dental Practice (Fixed‑term, Galway)

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and organised Receptionist to join our Smiles Dental practice in Galway on a six‑month fixed‑term contract. You will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and check‑in patients, creating a positive first impression.
• Manage appointment bookings, amendments and cancellations.
• Answer telephone calls and respond to patient enquiries.
• Maintain and update patient records while safeguarding confidentiality.
• Process payments and promote dental services and special offers.
• Support the Practice Manager and clinical team with administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Calm and professional demeanor in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous experience in reception or administrative roles.
• Personable, positive and enthusiastic with strong customer focus.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
• Experience with SOE/R4 (preferred but not essential).
