Receptionist

About the role

DCU Sport is seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist to be the first point of contact for members, visitors, and staff across its award‑winning sports facilities. You will work independently in a fast‑paced environment, handling enquiries, bookings and administrative tasks while maintaining a high level of service.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome members and visitors, providing excellent customer service at all times.
• Manage the member access control system and operate POS and online booking platforms.
• Process till balances and ensure accurate cash handling at the end of each shift.
• Handle online and app bookings, pay‑per‑play reservations, and support programme administration, sales and marketing activities.
• Maintain two official email accounts and respond to enquiries promptly.
• Uphold data protection regulations and ensure data entry accuracy across multiple databases.
• Assist with hygiene, quality and service standards throughout the facilities.
• Work flexible hours, including early starts, late finishes and weekend shifts.

Required profile

• Leaving Certificate education.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar front‑of‑house or database‑operation role.
• Positive attitude, highly motivated and able to work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Data entry proficiency.
• Experience with POS systems.
• Familiarity with CRM or membership management software (e.g., Gladstone Membership Management System).
