Reconciliation & Control Professional

About the role

The Reconciliation & Control Professional will support the Customer Payments function by delivering daily and monthly control reporting, ensuring accurate reconciliation of transactional, sub‑ledger, billing and bank data, and providing assurance for payment operations.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile financial and transactional events on a daily, weekly and monthly basis related to customer payments, deposits and associated bank accounts.
• Perform sales ledger and bank reconciliations to confirm that all customer payments and related transactions are correctly accounted for.
• Resolve payment operations queries and ensure deposits and refunds are accurately recorded.
• Identify and correct invalid transactions in collaboration with the wider payments team and outsourced service partners.
• Liaise with internal business areas, external vendors, banks and merchant acquirers to resolve erroneous transactions.
• Support internal and external auditors with transaction and reconciliation evidence.
• Prepare monthly journals for cash allocation functions and provide KPI reporting, including cash forecasting.
• Maintain up‑to‑date processes and flag non‑standard activities.
• Apply Agile methodology to design, document and improve reconciliation processes.

Required profile

• Excellent attention to detail and high numeric accuracy.
• Strong communication abilities and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for delivering excellent customer service.
• Experience in payments or accounts‑receivable roles.
• Experience with reporting, database or business intelligence tools.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Use of reporting/database/BI tools.
• Bank reconciliation and cash allocation expertise.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology.
